Safe, efficient motion for a dynamic world5D Robotics software combines contextual information with elegant motion for rapid, reactive lead and follow motions that work in complex, uncontrolled environments. Our robotic solutions, including the 5D Robotics Behavior Engine™, emphasize rapid, reactive, biologically inspired behavioral responses – very different from other solutions that continue to use unreliable GPS, mapping and continuous communication.
DEFENSE5D works with the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines to develop unmanned system behaviors and plug and play mission payloads that provide a means for increased performance and reduced workload.
Our graphical interface software provides intuitive tasking and situation awareness. The 5D focus is on providing responsive, real-time collaborative control especially in dynamic, complex environments.
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION
5D is working with the DOE to develop add-on kits to existing buses, trucks and cars that allow them to operate more safely and efficiently.
The core technology 5D developed for defense to enable high-speed follow and convoy operations is being applied to make intelligent, safe and efficient highways. We have an effort underway focused on improved fuel efficiency for buses and we are also focusing on how to prevent collisions around blind corners in facilities, distribution centers, bus depots and truck yards.
SECURITY
5D can use our plug and play add-on kits to track people and vehicles as they move within and around a facility or home.
The add-on kits are easy to use and can be strategically placed to maintain awareness of the surrounding environment. The 5D graphical tracking software can track the position of whatever is moving or changing. Cameras, thermal imaging systems and specialized ranging systems can be plugged into the kits to provide added benefit.

5d is working to transition our proven defense solutions into the burgeoning medical markets to reduce workload demands, lower operating costs and extending the reach of caregivers.
As in defense, our focus is on safe, reliable motion and the ability to extend the reach of key personnel anywhere in the hospital, into homes and across the globe.
